California Coast University (CCU) is nationally accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). The DEAC is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. DEAC is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). CHEA is a nonprofit organization serving as a national advocate for self-regulation of academic quality through accreditation. All CCU programs have been reviewed and approved by DEAC. CCU also holds Institutional Approval by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) of the State of California and is listed as a VA approved school.
